Brief contents :

This course is designed to build on the knowledge of anatomy and physiology of human body in relation to the plain radiograph or when contrast media are used. The student will practice and appreciate the anatomical structures seen on various medical imaging modalities images.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

 1. Identify different anatomical structures of human body on a radiological image.

 2. Identify the anatomy of different systems on radiographic images produced before and

     after the use of contrast media .

 3. Evaluate the radiological image.

Contents :  this course covers ,

1- Radiographic anatomy of skull, facial bones and paranasal sinuses.

2-Vertebral column and spinal cord.

3-Upper limb & shoulder girdle.

4-Thorax "respiratory system and heart ".

5- Abdomen "gastrointestinal tract, salivary glands, biliary system, urinary system".

6- Pelvis "male and female reproductive system ".

7- Lower limb & pelvic girdle.

8- Vascular system (arteries, veins, and lymphatic).

9- Soft tissues (e.g. breast).

     10- Revision and practice of radiographs.
